Solar Installation Phase One

QK-TEX lightweight interior panels solar panel install

QK-TEX use recycled materials in their lightweight panel products, and renewable energy is the next step in their carbon reduction plan.

Equivalent to 1,896 trees planted

Manufacturing facilities often have a large expanse of roof that can be given over to a solar PV system and our new factory is a perfect example.

Phase 1 installation comprises 488 solar panels with a forecasted energy production of 213Mwh. Circa 90% of the energy produced by the panels will to be consumed by QK with the balance going back into the Grid. Simulation results indicate 41.28t of CO2 saved, equivalent to 1,896 trees planted.

A big thank you to Richard Coleman (MD) of RJ Coleman Electrical, electrical engineering contractors, Renewable Energy division, Scunthorpe, www.rjcoleman.co.uk for their solar panel design and installation services, and thank you also to Jason Butler for the stunning drone footage and images, www.j20butphotography.co.uk.
