TEX GROUP is proud to announce a strategic strengthening of its Engineering Division, creating a more cohesive and integrated resource for the global defence subcontracted manufacturing sector.
By aligning our specialist design, engineering and manufacturing resources across TEX ATC, G&M EUROTEX and BSP-TEX, the Group is significantly enhancing its ability to deliver complex, mission-critical projects. This evolution in our operational structure ensures that the expertise of our Design Engineers is directly integrated with our fabrication and assembly facilities, providing a seamless "concept-to-delivery" pipeline.
A Legacy of Excellence: The QEC FLYCO
The strength of TEX GROUP’s engineering pedigree is visible in our work on the Royal Navy’s Queen Elizabeth Class (QEC) Aircraft Carriers. TEX ATC was responsible for the feasibility study, detailed design, and project management of the iconic Flying Control Room (FLYCO) – the "eyes" of the fleet.
This project serves as a benchmark for our specialist capabilities, requiring the integration of:
Specialist Glazing: High-performance systems designed for shock, ship motion, and electromagnetic attenuation.
Advanced Environmental Protection: Compliance with CBRN (Chemical, Biological, Radiological, and Nuclear) standards and solar control.
Structural Engineering: The design and installation of cantilevered steel sponsons to support the 290-degree field of view required for safe flight deck operations.

G&M EUROTEX: Specialists in Lloyd’s-accredited marine diesel engineering, power generation, and control systems.
BSP-TEX: Providing the manufacturing backbone, with extensive experience in light engineering, heavy engineering, machinery manufacture, and defence subcontracted manufacturing.
This closer collaboration means that the collective design teams now operate with proximity to wider manufacturing and supply chain resources. This proximity accelerates the feedback loop between design and manufacture, ensuring that feasibility studies are grounded in production reality and that design development is optimised for cost-effective, high-quality manufacturing.
