Driving Defence Innovation

TEX GROUP reinforces engineering partnerships and validates new product development pathways.

FARNBOROUGH, UK – DPRTE 2026, held at the Farnborough International Exhibition & Conference Centre, proved to be a vital hub for connection and collaboration, allowing TEX GROUP to further cement its position as a partner of choice within the defence sector.

As the UK’s premier defence procurement event, DPRTE provided an invaluable stage for the TEX GROUP Engineering Division to engage with the latest industry trends and procurement strategies. From high-stakes infrastructure to precision-engineered components, the event was a testament to the ongoing modernisation of the UK’s defence capabilities and the critical role that agile, UK-based engineering firms play in maintaining national security.

Strategic Insights and Partnership Development

Greg Brown, CEO of TEX GROUP, highlighted how participation in such high-calibre industry forums is essential for aligning the Group’s internal innovations with the evolving needs of the Ministry of Defence (MOD) and global prime contractors.

"The perspectives gained at DPRTE 2026 help us keep strategically aligned, ensuring we can evolve our manufacturing and engineering capacity to support the long-term goals of the sector and our collaborators."

Connecting the Defence Supply Chain

A core theme of DPRTE 2026 was ‘Connection and Collaboration.’ For TEX GROUP, this meant more than just observing the latest hardware; it was about participating in the dialogue surrounding the Defence Sourcing Portal (DSP) and the Social Value Model. The event enabled our team to engage in discussions regarding local skills and manufacturing capacity.

The feedback gathered throughout the halls of Farnborough will now flow back into our Engineering Division, directly influencing our R&D priorities for the coming fiscal year.
